At Wave, we’ve worked hard to promote an inclusive culture where every employee can thrive. Today, those efforts were rewarded with a spot on the 2019 list of Best Workplaces for Women.

This is Wave’s second year to appear on this prestigious list of inclusive employers. Winners in this national competition are chosen based on direct employee feedback via the Great Places to Work survey.

“One of the things our employees tell us allows them to thrive is that we don’t simply hire for diversity, we hire the best people, then invest in and grow them,” says Ashira Gobrin, Senior Vice President of People and Culture.

“Our culture of empowering each Waver, and providing mentoring or training in every facet from technology to internal communication, elevates the entire team. Further, we believe it makes Wave a great workplace not just for women, but for everyone.”

To be eligible, organizations must have been Great Place to Work Certified in the past year, have a minimum of 15 female employees, and at least 90% of employees agree that their workplace is safe and people are treated fairly regardless of their gender.

Wave strives to provide a safe, fun workplace where everyone can do their best work. For example, our inclusivity committee—a group of employees who embrace inclusive practices and develop programs like our Women in Tech events and Pride celebrations—is just one way Wave fosters an inclusive environment for employees.

In the last couple of years, we’ve invested time and effort to move the needle on the gender breakdown for our ever-growing team. We’ve shifted from 80% male/20% female to 62% male/38% female, with an increasing number of women in senior roles. Learn more about some of our talented team members.

Wave has also been recognized by Great Place to Work (#GPTW) as one of the Best Workplaces for Millenials, Best Workplaces in Technology, and Best Workplaces for Inclusion.
