Meet Helenja, our Talent Acquisition Manager. She loves working with her team to figure out the right path to make the right decisions. We sat down with Helenja to get to know her a bit better!

What is the first thing you do when you get into work?

The first thing I do when I arrive at work say good morning to my team (dogs included). I love taking this moment to quickly connect and catch up on any non-work related topics, once I have had a second to connect with those around me, I grab a tea and start my to-do list.

How has Wave helped you with your career development?

What I love about Wave is that they trust you. My wonderful team and leaders provide me with the structure and support that I need while also allowing me to make decisions and figure out the right path. This level of autonomy and growth is vital in career development.

What is your favourite Wave event?

Although Wave throws a mean party, I would have a say the Women at Wave Breakfast events. We have had some incredible speakers come in from all different walks of life who bring perspective, are inspiring, and have truly been impactful in society.

What is your favourite vacation spot & why?

Costa Rica. Beautiful beaches, volcanos, wildlife, seafood - it is perfect.

What are some of your hobbies?

I dabble in a lot of hobbies lightly. I love a good board game, reading any comics from the publisher Image Comics, cooking, and lots of Netflix.

If you could instantly become an expert in something, what would it be?

Cooking! I love eating and I love making food for others so to truly understand food chemistry would be amazing.
