Our Wave Spotlight series introduces some of the incredible, world-class talent helping to make Wave great for our customers.
This is Christian. Christian is a Lead Accounting Coach here at Wave, whose black lab, Compass, can often be seen roaming the halls of Wave. Christian is currently looking to grow his team. We sat down with Christian to learn more about him, the roles he's hiring for, and of course, Compass.
Can you describe your role for us?
An Accounting Coach helps business owners to be fully independent in their accounting and bookkeeping necessities by coaching, encouraging, and finding the most efficient and effective solutions to their needs.
If you could switch positions with somebody else at Wave for a day, who would it be and why?
That’s a hard one, I would love to do a rotating position and learn from everyone at Wave. There are amazing brains here! But I would say an engineer so I can learn how to code, and I may edit a couple of things too.
What makes Wave different from any other company you've worked for?
Definitely the environment. You don’t need a suit to excel in your job. I can freely express myself and I don’t need to standardize my personality.
What are some of your hobbies?
Running is definitely my favorite hobby. I love hitting the trails early in the morning with Compass! Nothing better that a cup of tea on a crispy morning after a run.
Which superpower would help you the most with your job?
Flash Gordon and his super speed! Imagine how much you get done before coffee break.
What is your favourite quote?
As a former boxer… “You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done!”
Interested in working with Christian? Come join him and the rest of the team at Wave. We’re on a mission that’s changing the world, one entrepreneur at a time.
